This is my blog about a fundraising project I decided to complete to celebrate reaching the age of half a century!

This idea was born during the lockdown of 2020 and initially I had planned to do it as a one year, weekly art challenge – creating limited edition, handmade prints of 50 flowers in my garden, one flower per week, with each flower being matched to a charity connected to nature and wellbeing. However, once life began to resume to a normal pace, I realised this was not a realistic time frame. Also, as I began to make preliminary studies, I realised that I wanted to be more ambitious in the size of the artworks for this project and to have more time to experiment and explore my ideas. Therefore, this is going to be a long term fundraiser and I will be posting about my progress and sharing my work on this blog site.

This blog will also be an opportunity to share some of the interesting facts I have found out about the flowers in my garden, as well as highlight the amazing work done by so many charities that are striving to improve our natural environment and supporting our increasing engagement with nature.

I would also like to show you other artists’ works that I find an inspiring, especially in relation to my flower artworks.

If you’d like to receive occasional emails with updates about the project please fill in your mail below and press the subscribe button (then confirm your subscription in the email you are sent), or you can just send me a message via my contact form.
